Tea Cocktail – Lime Leaf and Empa-Tea

A pick me up after to soak up and refresh you!


8/10 lime leaves, crushed

Juice and zest of 2 limes

Juice and zest of 2 lemons

2 springs of basil, roughly chopped

5/6 teaspoons of Empa-Tea

500ml of filtered water

200g of sugar


Place the lime leaves, juices and zest and shells of the limes and lemons and the basil in a large bowl

Put the Empa-Tea leaves and pink peppercorns in a pan with the water and sugar and bring to the boil, then simmer for 15/20 minutes

Pour the tea syrup into bowl with the lime leaves, juices , zest and basil. Cover and leave to cool. Strain and leave in the fridge until needed.

Tea Cocktail Suggestions

  • Use as a mixer with vodka or gin
  • Cool and refreshing with chilled sparkling water
